Questions and answers.

What is an AI phone assistant?

An AI phone assistant is software that answers a business telephone, understands what the caller wants in ordinary speech and completes the task: booking an appointment, answering a question, taking a call-back note or passing the call to a person. It works on the number a business already uses, and it says at the start of the call that it is an AI.

How does an AI phone assistant work on a call?

The assistant picks up on the first ring and asks what the caller needs. It understands the answer as speech rather than as a menu choice, then does the thing: it reads the calendar and books a slot, answers from the knowledge the business gave it, writes a call-back note, or transfers the call to a colleague with a summary of the conversation attached. The business gets the summary in writing.

What does an AI phone assistant cost?

Miyon AI is €0,39 per production minute with no term, or a monthly package on a twelve-month term: S at €139 for 500 minutes, M at €299 for 1.000 minutes, L at €899 for 2.500 minutes. An extra phone number is €9 a month on every plan. Testing in the browser is free, with no card.

Which businesses is an AI phone assistant for?

An AI phone assistant earns its keep in businesses where the telephone rings while the work is happening and nobody can stop to answer: practices and clinics, workshops and dealerships, law firms and accountants, property managers, estate agents, hotels, brokers and agencies. What they share is that the caller who reaches nobody rings the next number on the list.

How quickly is it running?

About a week for most businesses, from the first conversation to the first real call. You can hear it answer as your business within about five minutes of creating an account, in the browser and without a card; the week is what it takes to put it on your own number with your calendar and your answers behind it.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. The assistant answers on the number your business already publishes. You decide when it picks up: always, only when nobody answers, only when the line is busy, only outside opening hours, or any combination of those, and the rule can differ per number if you have more than one.

How does it connect to the systems we already use?

Miyon AI connects to the calendar, the telephony and the CRM a business already runs, so nothing has to be replaced to get started. Where a connector exists the assistant reads and writes directly; where one does not yet, the booking or the note arrives by e-mail and in the summary within seconds, so the work still exists and somebody enters it once. Further systems are connected on request.

What happens if the assistant gets something wrong?

The assistant only says what the business has given it, and where it has not been given an answer it says so and takes a call-back note rather than inventing one. Every call is recorded as a transcript and a summary, so a wrong answer is visible the same day, and correcting it is editing the answer, which applies from the next call. Nothing is quoted, promised or closed on a call unless the business configured that.

Does the caller notice it is an AI?

The caller is told at the start of the call, in the line you set in your agent prompt. The assistant never claims to be a person, and a caller who asks for one is put through.

Where is call data processed?

On servers in the European Union. A data processing agreement is available, retention is set per account by the business, and a recording is only kept when the business switches recording on. A single call or the whole history can be deleted from the dashboard at any time.

Which languages does it speak?

The caller's language, detected from the first sentence and answered in the same language. German, English and Dutch are set up as standard, with the greeting, the vocabulary and the written confirmation configured for them. A caller who speaks Spanish, Italian, French or another language is answered in it as well, without that language being set up first.

What happens when a call is too complex?

The assistant hands the call to a person and brings the conversation with it. Your colleague sees who is calling and what it is about before saying hello, so the caller does not repeat their story. Where nobody is free, the assistant takes a structured call-back note with the number, the reason and anything that was promised, and sends it to whoever is on duty.

What makes Miyon AI different from other AI phone assistants?

Miyon AI is not software you are left alone with. We build the assistant for your business rather than handing you a builder: the intake, the answers, the calendar and the workflows are set up by us, up to and including the connections to your own systems, and you go live on a handover call. After that, Agent Care keeps it running, with call-health analysis, a briefing on what to change and active maintenance of the connections. The telephony under it is carrier-grade, which means monitored availability, real-time latency detection and an agreed service level. And the assistant only says what you gave it, so the answers stay yours.

Is Miyon AI an AI phone assistant or an AI colleague?

Both words describe the same thing from two sides. Technically Miyon AI is an AI phone assistant: software that answers your business telephone, understands the caller and completes the task. We call it a colleague because that is how it behaves once it is running. You tell it how you answer the phone, you correct it, and it gets better week by week.

What does Miyon AI build?

One platform, two kinds of customer. A direct user puts the AI Communication Colleague on its own number, where it answers the line, books appointments, answers questions and hands over to a person with the conversation attached. A white label partner, like a UCaaS, managed service or telecom provider, takes the same platform and sells it to its own customers under its own brand, with Miyon AI as the engineering underneath.

Who is behind Miyon AI?

Four founders: Mathias Maierhofer (CEO), Jörg Zeddies (COO), Hakob Harutyunyan (CTO) and Hamlet Mkrtchyan (IT Techlead). The company is seated in Schaan, Liechtenstein, registered as Miyon AG, and operates across the European Union.

Where is it built and run?

In the EU. The platform is built and hosted in the European Union, calls are processed on EU servers, and the data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is the same for a single business and for a partner with thousands of customers.

How does the assistant identify itself?

In the first sentence of the call, with the word AI: "this is the AI assistant at [business]". The greeting is written by the business in the agent prompt, and so is the disclosure in it. If a caller asks later in the call whether they are talking to a person, the assistant answers truthfully and offers a colleague.

How does a caller reach a person?

By asking. Any caller who says they want a person, a colleague or a human is connected to the number the business named, with the conversation attached, or gets a call-back if nobody is free. There is no menu to navigate and no number to press. The business decides who receives those calls.

What does the assistant log about a call?

The transcript, the summary, the actions it took (a booking, a note, a hand-over) and the systems it wrote to. The recording only if the business switched it on. The business can read every call in its dashboard, correct what the assistant did, and delete a call. Nothing is analysed for emotion, and there is no scoring of callers.

Does the assistant make decisions about people?

No. It books, answers, notes and hands over. It does not decide whether someone gets an appointment, a price or a service; those rules are set by the business and the assistant applies them as a receptionist would. Anything outside the rules is written down and handed to a person.

How does a caller object or ask for erasure?

By telling the business, which handles the request through its dashboard, or by writing to Miyon AG at info@miyon.ai. A caller can ask what was kept about a call, ask for it to be deleted, and object to a recording. The data protection officer is named in the privacy policy.

What is a virtual receptionist?

A virtual receptionist answers a company's incoming calls from outside the office. The term covers two different things: a human answering service working under the company's name, and an AI phone assistant doing the same job in software. Both greet the caller, take the request and pass it on.

What is a warm transfer?

A warm transfer is a call handover where the person receiving the call is told who is calling and why before the caller is put through. A cold transfer moves the line and nothing else. The warm version costs a few seconds and saves the caller from explaining everything a second time.

What is IVR?

IVR, short for Interactive Voice Response, is the phone menu that asks a caller to press one for sales and two for support. It routes calls by keypress, or by a short spoken command matched against a fixed script. The caller navigates the menu; the menu does not understand the caller.

What is a telephone answering service?

A telephone answering service is an outside team that picks up a company's calls, takes a message and passes it on, usually charged per call or per minute. It covers the phone when the office cannot. What it hands back is a message, and the work inside that message still waits for the company.

What is a voice agent?

A voice agent is software that holds a spoken conversation and can act on it. It listens, works out what the speaker wants, and then does something in another system: books, looks up, updates or transfers. On a telephone line, the voice agent is what makes an AI phone assistant more than a recording.

What is conversational AI?

Conversational AI is the general term for software that holds a conversation in ordinary language, by voice or in writing, and acts on what is said. It covers chatbots, voice agents and phone assistants. The defining feature is that the person never learns a command set: they say what they want.

What is barge-in?

Barge-in is the ability of a caller to interrupt a voice system while it is still speaking, and have it stop and listen. Without barge-in the caller has to wait out the whole prompt. With it, the conversation can be cut short the way a conversation with a person can.

What is white label voice AI?

White label voice AI is a voice platform sold under another company's brand. The provider builds and runs the technology; the partner sells it as its own product, on its own invoice, to its own customers. The end customer sees one company. The provider appears in the contract as a sub-processor.
